Hear it from our Models....
Hello everyone,
my name is Charlene Ayers Vomacka. I am currently 19 years old, and started
modeling when I was 14. I first signed with an agency in San Francisco, CA.
For San Francisco being such a small Market, I did extremely well. After putting
in months of hard work, and endless castings, I finally started working and
making good money.
Then the work just kept coming. I no longer went to castings, and they would call and book me directly. My agency would say don't you want to see her first? But no, they would just book me because they all knew me. Since it was such a small tight market it was nice to be on the inside of it. But it took a long time to get that way. I did a ton of commercial print work (Macy's, Mervyn's, etc). Also a lot of magazines like Teen, Seventeen, Red, and Martha Stewart Bridesmaid … One that really stands out was when I was in high school I wanted to do HS Rodeo, but I never had the time for it. They sent out a monthly newsletter to all of the people who enrolled and it was basically like a Rodeo magazine. Well, you go to flip through the magazine and what do you see? Me! That's right me being pushed in a wheel barrel by one of the biggest calf ropers in the state that everyone looked up to, sporting my Ariat Boots (the job was for Ariat Boots if you didn't catch that).
When I went to school I didn't really want to tell people that I was a model because high school girls can be pretty judgmental sometimes. Well, I didn't have to tell them. Teen magazine did it all for me. Every girl reads that magazine, and I guess they notice when someone in their class is in it. So, after that I guess I was "stuck up" even though I was the same person before they saw the picture. Then my next year in school I had to go to Independent studies because I was probably only going to school about 2-3 days a week, and the rest were jobs, or going out of town, or something to do with modeling. Once I was on Independent studies I decided I wanted to expand my work, so I hooked up with an agency in Los Angeles. Which was about 7 hours from where I lived (give or take and hour or two because sometimes my mom had the biggest lead foot you've ever drove with). LA wasn't as good to me as the smaller market San Francisco. I would go to castings and the lines would not only be out the door, but down the stairs and around the hall. Just for a music video! I had a hard time in LA. Once I got there I was told to drop 15-20 lbs, so, I did. And they were happy. It still was a huge market for such a young girl (I was then about 16 trying to break in that tough market). The hardest part for me was the drive. It put a lot of stress on my mom, but she did it. Parents have to be totally 110% supportive of their kids in their dreams, because if they aren't, than you may never know what you could have done, or what you could have been. And I have a ton of great memories and pictures and I owe it all to my Mom and Dad for being so supportive, my Mom especially for driving me everywhere!
I am now with One Source Talent. I wish I knew about this kind of opportunity years ago when I was paying out that 15-20% to my agency (I forget the exact percent... but I know it added up after a while). I was probably paying out my agency about $500-1000 a month. That is a LOT if you think about it! I am not sure what I was thinking. Now that I am with One Source Talent I have endless opportunities and make my own decisions. I don't have to make someone else happy for me to do well in this market. Since I stopped modeling about 2 years ago, I did my own thing, got a real job, and then about a year ago got married. I have kind of let myself go since I have been married and I am very comfortable in my marriage and I think that is why. I also just recently started working for One Source Talent, and like I said earlier, I wish I found them 5 years ago! Its great to not only work for a company I believe in, but show everyone that I believe in them enough to work and be part of them. Since I have joined up with this company, I am working on getting back in shape and working out to get where I want to be. Currently I would be called a plus size model, but I still feel great about it and I'm happy to be able to work in this industry again. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
Here
is another amazing story from another beautiful girl....
Eva is sending her new pictures to Elite to follow up from her Elite Look Model Search. Good luck to Ewa, and again thanks to Dolce Moda for loaning her the outfit to create her first look for our shoot. Ewa said Scott Sprague and Aaron Pursell were amazing, and she wouldn't have looked as good without the clothes that were provided from Dolce Moda and Betsy Johnson.

I'm Monica W. and I'm from a small town right outside of New Orleans. I recently was an extra for the film "Waiting" which was a lot of fun. I'm going to be in an independent film called "The Invasion of the City of Vampires", by Loronzo Nickleson from Onic productions. Also I'm waiting to hear back about a photographer who needs to make his portfolio. One Source is the greatest opportunity I ever had. Thanks a lot

I am writing to tell you that I got the job as one of the hair demonstrator's for the Loreal "Ladies First Tour" with Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliot, and Tamia at the Palace here in the metro Detroit area. I'm glad I was scouted by your company and that I signed, because otherwise I wouldn't have found the casting for Loreal! This was one of my first professional modeling jobs and I'm grateful for it and that it came so fast. Thank you for the opportunity to be one of the models for your company.

Hi! This is Andrew's (Talent #1100) mother. I just wanted to write to let
you know that my son, Andrew, got his very first audition by a casting listed
on the website. I sent his resume and headshot out and he auditioned for an
ABC Grant Winner for a short film called "Ay, Mijo". His audition
was on Wednesday, March 10. He was told that they would get back to him on
that Thursday or Friday. When I had not heard from them by Friday afternoon,
I put in a message to have him call me. I still had not heard back from him
that following Monday so I left another message. Tuesday I decided to call
one of the employees at One Source Talent and she put in a call herself. When
I got home from work Tuesday night I received a phone call and was informed
that Andy had the part. NO second audition. NO other requirements. We were
so excited! Andy was hired to play the son of the troop leaders Mr. and Mrs.
King, but when we showed up to the filming on Saturday afternoon, the director
had decided to go with Andy's stand-in because he felt it was a better fit
as far as looks go. Andy and his real mom and dad all played important extras
in the movie instead. All cast and crew were amazed that this had been Andy's
first audition and role. It was unfortunate that the director saw that there
was a better physical fit with this other little boy to play the part.
There will be a screening in May and we are supposed to get a copy of the
DVD in June. It was a wonderful first time experience and Andy is looking
forward to his next job.
Thank You One Source Talent!!! Talent ID 1100

I just wanted to say hello and let you know a bit about myself. You should know that I just joined One Source Talent on Tues. March 16th and in LESS than a week I have already auditioned and was cast in a music video! (William Hung- it will be great publicity) The video will air on FUSE (a television network)! My focus and ultimate goal for this year is to continue my education while I gain nationwide exposure. I want people across the country to have "seen" me. I plan to audition as many times as I have to and work on as many projects as it takes for nationwide exposure. My goal is to be featured in magazines, late night television interviews (Jay Leno, David Letterman, etc.), to be on MTV, VH1, E! I want to be the next "It's good to be..." Thanks One Source Talent for giving me the tools to live the dream

Hi my name is Yu-shan Cheng and my talent ID is 2108. I am from the San Diego office. I recently signed up with One Source Talent, one week ago, to be exact. At first I was having doubts about this whole thing because I was with another company a while ago and I lost a lot of money working with them, while getting NO work. So as you can see bad experiences put the doubts in my head. But once I started working with One Source Talent, I was really impressed how closely we work together and how much we can get done (got done!) working as a team. Your company isn't about taking upfront money, you help your talent!!!!!!! I got my first Promo job with affinity. (Skin care) I can't believe how fast you helped me get started. My first photo shoot for my portfolio is on the 27th of March and I just can't wait to have professional pictures so I can have more opportunities when applying to jobs!!!!!
Thank you so much onesource talent!!

Dear One Source Talent
I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You have been such a great help for me. I appreciate everything you have done for me. If it weren't for you and the company I wouldn't be having the chance to be modeling and acting. I never thought that I could be able to model or act, but with your support and help I am actually experiencing something that I have never experienced before. I am excited to see how far I can go. You guys are the best! Joining with One Source Talent was one of the smartest moves I made.
Thank you,

Hi! My name is Victoria Lam and I recently joined the One Source Talent family a few weeks ago. Immediately, I was excited and ecstatic about finding work. I was so happy to have found a modeling/talent company that offered what I needed. So, of course, I wanted to get started right away. Which is why I ordered a photo shoot from the One Source Talent website in order to market myself. A few days later when I had stopped by the office to pick up my photo c.d., I was lucky enough to have bumped into Damian. Fortunately, he mentioned to me about a great opportunity working as a promotional model in the New Orleans area for Encore Nationwide. Therefore, I signed up and quickly went home and sent in an email to Encore Nationwide, Inc. containing all of my information and within a day, I got a reply! They were happy enough to accept me and I in turn filled out a contract with them. The news and chance to work alone was great, but to actually get accepted was unbelievable! I am so thankful to have been introduced to such an amazing company. I would have never thought I could get started so easily and quickly. Moreover, the website is such an important tool in finding jobs around the area that I can barely get off of it and I wouldn't be able to audition or apply for any of the work available out there. One Source Talent truly gets better and better each day.
Sincerely,
Victoria Lam Talent ID 1615

Dear OST,
I would like to thank you for all the wonderful services and opportunities you have given me. Just last week I interviewed for WB a new show called Extreme Personalities. I had to do an over the phone interview and send in a tape. I was so excited. Being a model for over five years I have done promotional work and also was in a major motion picture called Two Weeks Notice. I have looked into other companies and a few online modeling companies and none offer the features and security One Source Talent offers. Most of them just say join for free and then try to up sell you once you're on the site. All they offer is an unsecured picture of you on the internet. Hey I could do that for free. With One Source Talent I have my daily castings a model benefit card and also access to offices all across the United States. I just want to let you guys know thank you and in my eyes you are the number one resource on the internet.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help so far! I did a fitting
last week and got a job for MCHUNU Jeans. I also have a fitting for a swimsuit
calendar next weekend. I have been getting jobs left and right. I have stayed
updated with the castings site -- it is amazing how much work is out there!
I wish that I had the right connections before! Life just got easier! Ha Ha!
I got offers for promotional work, which I am waiting to hear back about one
this Wednesday. I have an audition for a music video this Thursday. I was
also asked to do a spoof on Paris Hilton, as her look-a-like ! I can’t
do a lot of the jobs right now because school is in the way, but I can’t
imagine what summer will bring ! I can’t wait and I am pushing for more
catalog and print jobs. Wish me luck ! Thanks for your help and I am always
thrilled to see you help me get some work !
With Love,
Nicole

My name is Joe Clemko from the Providence office. On top of what was listed for the month of February for my success story, I just did a job for Popular photography magazine called digital days and I was just contacted by Hip Hop Models and Talent from NYC for partial sponsorship to UTN Talent Fest in July @ Madison Sq Garden. Digital Days was in Philly, it was a digital photography workshop and I found it on the castings. It was low pay and I traveled 5 hours for it, but it was a lot of fun and I get free pictures out of the deal to add to my portfolio. One thing I learned about the industry if you want to succeed you have to make sacrifices and you have to be proactive. Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
